About Us

Beverly "Bev" Barker learned direct response copywriting at Ogilvy & Mather where she climbed the ranks by brainstorming new product concepts and working with account supervisors to develop her marketing skills. She has experience working in team environments and can beat tough deadlines.

Since moving from New York City to northern Virginia, Bev has turned her attention to how technology has leveled the playing field for small businesses to compete and succeed. She uses today's "one-on-one" communication model vs. mass market advertising. Serving as a freelance copywriter and marketing consultant, she also speaks on topics including direct response marketing, public relations and the growing impact of SEO on marketing.

Based on her client's goals and budgets, Bev can call up a virtual team to provide custom solutions without the high overhead of full-time employees working in high-lease northern Virginia office space.

Bev is also a newsletter editor and past contributing editor to:

  • ICSN Network News newsletter (Independent Computer Services Network, Inc.)
  • Telecommuter Trends newsletter for the Mid-Atlantic Telecommuting Advisory Council
  • Editor/publisher of Wavelength Digest - a financial quarterly newsletter featuring The Dow Theory
